Meet Our Winemaker

It has been such an incredible journey to be farming and fermenting in a place where I grew up, milked cows, explored, and experienced many fond memories.

My background in agriculture helped prepare me for the work involved in winemaking and vineyard management. Before settling back on the family farm, I spent the last 17 years making wine in the Russian River Valley of Sonoma County, California. I began my wine career in the cellar at Hook and Ladder Winery, mentored by veteran cellar masters and winemakers. During my tenure at the winery, vinifying over 10 unique varietals from grape to glass, I expanded my skills and knowledge as enologist, lab coordinator and winemaker.

There are so many opportunities for creativity in winemaking that keep each vintage unique and memorable. I am beyond excited to begin this new adventure with my family here in Wisconsin, growing and making wine from cold-hardy varietals.
