Tree Planting Days 2022-2023

We love trees. Part of our re-imagining of the farm includes planting more trees native to this area and this began in earnest when we decided to purchase the farm from Jon’s folks. Over the last two seasons, together with the support (and hard work) of family and friends, we have planted over 275 trees including: Hackberry, Sugar Maples, Black Cherry, White Oaks, Swamp White Oaks, American Plums, Norway Spruce, and White Spruce. We focused on planting trees that specifically benefit pollinators and other wildlife. In addition to important animal habitat, we also wanted to create more canopy for shade and wind breaks throughout the farm. What brings us joy is knowing that these trees will benefit future generations of people and creatures that share this land.
