2023 Winter on the farm
January 20, 2024 /
One of the things that has always drawn me into the here and now of Wisconsin is the changing of seasons. It was easy to take it for granted, but it has a way of grounding me and calling me back to nature in every season. As a family, we make it a point to experience these changes even in the most brutal times. We walk on ice covered creeks and skate on the pond where we kayak in other seasons. We make trail in the backwoods without the swarms of mosquitoes and dense marsh grasses. This winter season has included a shipment of meyer lemons (Kerri’s favorite!) from our friend, Tony, in Sonoma County, California. Our family also celebrates the Mardi Gras season with a homemade King Cake.
